Guinness's latest TV ad, "Dark Life", launches in Ireland tomorrow Friday 17/12/ 2010 and will run in the UK from March.
The ad features dark clouds representing a pint of Guinness as it settles, spreading over locations including New York and Hong Kong. It ends with the catchline "There's more life in the dark".
A dreamy guitar track, 10 Mile Stereo by the band Beach House, accompanies the commercial.
The ad was shot by the French director Frederic Planchon. It was planned as a collaborative effort between the marketing team from Guinness's owner, Diageo, and ad agency network BBDO's subsidiaries Irish International and AMV.
Irish International was responsible for creative work on the ad, which was produced by Academy Films.
Garbhan O'Bric, the Diageo head of marketing communications, said: "The hallmark of great Guinness advertising is a simple compelling truth, celebrated in a unique and imaginative way. At the heart of this film is the idea that there is more life in the dark. The team have created a spellbinding and captivating film that connects with consumers across borders and cultures."
