Looks like St Nick has given the tech boys and girls at Manchester’s LOVE some time to work on self promotional fun this Christmas. Not content on just sitting and watching their shiny new LED/Twitter board for Yuletide greetings, the team has now launched a QR Scan advent calendar round Manchester and London.
If you’re brave enough to stop in the cold and look around Manchester city centre this morning (or in the Big Smoke) you may see one of 200 fly-posters, pictured, carrying the pixelated QR codes.
There’s a new one each day in the run-up to the 25th, enticing folk to rummage through their multiple layers and find their mobile. A quick scan with the handset's QR reader will then reveal some fancy content and could even win you a prize.
LOVE MD Chris Conlan explained why the team had spurned the traditional advent route:"We wanted to do something this Christmas in the spirit of the recent work we have been producing, linking the physical and digital worlds. http://goo.gl/wX5xb
