JAGTAG (www.jagtag.com), the U.S. leader in mobile 2D barcode advertising, will announce its expansion into the United Kingdom with a presentation at the Ogilvy Digital Labs Day 2011 on January 27.The company counts blue chip clients such as BMW, Kraft, Nike, Red Bull, Time Warner and Unilever among its US clients. It has recently partnered with The Sick Children’s Trust, one of the UK’s Charity of the Year finalists, on a campaign that is set to go live this month. This will enable supporters to donate to the charity using their mobile phones.
QR codes are really catching on for the delivery of advertising and promotions multimedia to mobile devices, but they only work for smartphones – which leaves 70 percent of the population out of the loop. JAGTAG works on email and MMS with a phone's built-in camera, so it functions on pretty much all UK mobiles.
