etv online : Children in Need invites people to show their spots with pride in digital Pudsey ears campaign

The 2010 BBC's Children in Need campaign sees the return of its digital Facebook application this year taking the form of Digital Ears, which have been designed and developed by etv online.

Launched this week http://www.pudseyears.co.uk/ enables users to apply a pair of digital ears to an uploaded photo in exchange for a £1 donation to the charity. Users can pick from two designs; original Pudsey ears or new character Blush’s ears. Once happy with the size and positioning of their new ears, users can either download their resulting image, or show their spots with pride by posting it onto social networking sites including Twitter and Facebook.

The campaign follows the original 2009 initiative devised by etv online where users could select from a range of Pudsey based apparel including bandanas and bow ties. The initial campaign raised over £10,000 in under 2 weeks.

A real difference

All the money raised for BBC Children in Need goes on to make a real difference to the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK.

The annual live telethon takes place on Friday 19th November on BBC One dont miss it! The theme this year is Show Your Spots lets raise lots! So tune in and help raise lots to change young lives across the UK.

Do their bit for the charity

“We’re very proud to be working with Children in Need again on this simple yet effective digital fundraiser” Says Head of Business Development, Jilly Cross. “This is a fun, easy way for people to do their bit for the charity and spread the word via their social networks. We’re positive we’ll best last year’s figure and raise even more for this worthwhile cause.”
