Retail giant, Asda, required a website that would enable the Asda Shades brand to have a digital presence, aiding fluidity of communication between the brand and its consumers.
Having completed accredited work with the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) and investing significant time into developing advanced technologies, Asda wanted their customers to have a more detailed insight into this growing family of products.
The sites focus was to enable the consumer to gain a real understanding of the Asda Shades Family brand.
The challenge was to create a contemporary lifestyle portal without the compatibility issues associated with ‘Flash’ based platforms. Cube
3 utilised all the qualities of a flash featured presentational website but instead used a mixture of modern HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. The advantages of this allow a high quality presentation that would allow maximum accessibility.
A fundamental aim of the sites functionality was to impart core information in a fun and engaging way. As an extension to the interactive elements, a ‘Family Fun’ section was created in order for visitors to socially engage with the brand and leave direct feedback for the Asda Shades team.
