Next week's Screenmedia Expo will play host to Scala's newest offering for the digital signage market, the QuickStart package, which supports HP's SignagePlayer. All of the PCs and 26 displays used on Scala's stand will be supplied by HP, including a 47" (119cm) panel.
"Never before has setting up a full-featured digital signage player been this easy," comments Gerard Bucas, Scala's chief executive. "We're incredibly pleased to introduce this new service in conjunction with the new Scala certified players from HP. We believe we have achieved a significant breakthrough for the industry."
QuickStart enables the display of a wide range of content such as Flash-generated material, pictures, crawls, videos and dynamic text and graphics, which are delivered in 1080p through the collaborative HP-Scala system. The two companies add that all HP SignagePlayers can work remotely from any Scala Content Manager anywhere on the globe.
Scala explains that its latest release is compatible with MPEG2 and H.264 video streaming options and can work with HD component video signals at 720p or 1080i.
Screenmedia Expo is taking place at London's Earls Court Exhibition Centre on May 18th and 19th.
