Retail Business Technology Expo and Cards & Payments Solutions 2012 has announced it is partnering with IMRG, the UK's industry association for e-retail, for its 2012 event, which will further strengthen the expo's multichannel and eCommerce focus.

IMRG will be supporting Retail Business Technology Expo and Cards & Payments Solutions in a number of ways, but of primary importance will be IMRG's involvement with the content for the multichannel seminar programme. This year's show will feature 100 seminar sessions, with at least 50 dedicated to multichannel.
Another exciting development for the 2012 event is that IMRG will be using Retail Business Technology Expo and Cards & Payments Solutions as the platform to host the Annual General Meeting for the European Multichannel and Online Trade Association (EMOTA).
EMOTA is the European trade organisation that represents all aspects of distance selling in general and eCommerce in particular.
On behalf of its 20 member associations, EMOTA advocates a barrier-free European single market for distance sales and collaborates with business partners that actively encourage cross border distance selling across the European territory as a whole. IMRG is hosting EMOTA's Annual General Meeting and also a board meeting at Retail Business Technology Expo within the meeting area in the expo's International Pavilion.
David J Smith, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, IMRG, commented.
"We are very pleased to be supporting Retail Business Technology Expo and Cards & Payments Solutions in 2012 as we found last year's to be a highly valuable and informative networking event for our members and the retail industry as a whole. Last year's launch showcased the very latest innovations in technology solutions, and gave e-businesses a valuable opportunity to share their experiences of operating in the world's most competitive eCommerce market."
"Multichannel is going to form a critical part of the event in 2012, as retailers with multiple channels are continuing to drive the market forward. With the expo's increased focus on Europe, including the Hosted Buyer programme and the International Pavilion, it's also provided us with the ideal venue to host the EMOTA AGM."
Nick Field, event director, Retail Business Technology Expo and Cards & Payments Solutions, said,
"As internet retailing and multichannel are of central importance to all significant retailers and because of the heavy focus on it at the event, Retail Business Technology Expo and Cards & Payments Solutions form the leading retail multichannel event in the UK. The unique strength of the event is that puts multichannel where it belongs – at the very heart of retail operations.
We're also delighted to be able to provide the ideal platform for IMRG to host the EMOTA Annual General Meeting, and are looking forward to seeing so many European visitors at the show."
