NCR : Today’s consumers are time starved, digitally enabled and more in control than ever

NCR to highlight channel convergence at the Retail Business Technology Expo

NCR Corporation will announce a range of new converged retailing – or NCR c-tailingTM – solutions on stand 600 at the Retail Business Technology Expo on March 16-17 in London. This includes an innovative new software solution for implementing price-based promotions faster and more consistently across multiple channels, as well as new personalisation and preference management offerings.


Consumers increasingly want to be able to use any combination of online, social networking, mobile and store channels simultaneously when they shop in their search for better value products.

NCR has coined the term ‘c-tailing’ – or converged retailing – to define this new world. NCR c-tailing solutions help enable shoppers to review consistent and relevant information on product and price promotions, complete purchases, receive deliveries and process returns at the locations that are most convenient to them.

“In order to deliver the personalised and consistent shopping experience that today’s consumers demand, retailers must tear down the barriers that currently exist between their digital and physical channels,” said John Curnow, director of NCR’s retail and hospitality line of business in Northern Europe. “NCR c-tailing solutions will help retailers engage in interactive dialogue with shoppers across retail channels, based on their preferences and presence in a channel.”
