Global foodservice survey finds ‘hot drinks machines’ to be most available workplace facilityAccording to the report “Global Consumer Foodservice Survey 2011: Trends in Workplace Catering and Consumer Expenditure” survey results show that the most available foodservice facilities in workplace premises worldwide were ‘hot drinks machines’, as identified in 80% of countries surveyed, and ‘on-site canteens with hot food’, as identified in 70% of countries surveyed. Similarly, the most used facilities worldwide were ‘hot drinks machines, overall high frequency of use in 90% of countries surveyed, and ‘on-site coffee or tea shops’.

Qype, Europe’s leading consumer reviews site, has launched its first ever Business Awards.
The Qype Business Awards 2012 will name Britain’s best businesses, as rated by 1.6 million consumers right across the UK.
The awards up for grabs include Restaurant of the Year, Place of Interest of the Year and Beauty and Wellness Venue of the Year. One business will be named the Best in Britain, putting it ahead of the 750,000 other businesses listed on Qype in the UK.
Professor Suzanne Franks joins City University London
Professor Suzanne Franks has joined the Department of Journalism at City University London as Head of Undergraduate Journalism.
Before her most recent role at the University of Kent, Professor Franks had a long and successful journalism career, producing programmes such as Newsnight, Watchdog, The Money Programme and Panorama. As a senior producer, she also edited election programmes, budget coverage and live special screenings such as party conferences. In 1986 she was awarded a Nuffield Fellowship to study the development of satellite television in India.
