Tuesday 11th – Wednesday 12th October, Olympia 2, London

Hardly a week goes by without the industry discussing whether the future is social, with Facebook set to be leading the way.  With more than 750 million active users, Facebook's population exceeds that of the European Union*, making  the Facebook platform increasingly attractive as an enterprising marketplace.
With the recent launch of Facebook for Business, we can see this agenda-setting outlet positioning F-commerce as a player in the online retail market.

With an exclusive keynote on the ‘Social Design, Social Commerce’, the session at eCommerce Expo will give  businesses an in depth consideration of the tools and techniques needed to capitalise on Facebook’s success and propel their brand into the digital age.

Who else wants to reserve their place at Internet Retailing 2011 and save £200? / Keynote speakers from Asda and Facebook

Retailers and ecommerce professionals have less than two weeks to book their place at Internet Retailing 2011 at an earlybird rate. The event, which regularly sells out, this year includes keynote speakers from Asda and Facebook.

Click here for more information or to reserve your place at Internet Retailing 2011
Retailers and ecommerce professionals have less than two weeks to cut the cost of attending this year’s Internet Retailing conference by booking early.

Internet Retailing 2011, featuring keynote speakers from Asda and Facebook, will be held on October 4 at the Novotel in London’s Hammersmith.
The cost of a place is currently £295 & VAT for early bookings, but this rate ends on August 1 when it will rise to £495 & VAT.
Mark Pigou, co-founder of the Internet Retailing brand and conference organiser, said: “Over the years the Internet Retailing conference has become a key date in the ecommerce calendar and this year’s event will be no exception. We have an impressive line-up of speakers, including some very senior and experienced members of the industry who are keen to share their knowledge.
“We’re confident our audience will take away a great deal to think about while also gaining inspiration for new ways to improve their own businesses over the year ahead. The event regularly sells out but until the end of July, we’re offering the chance to sign up early and make a real saving on the cost of attending, something that we’re sure everyone will be keen to do in these times of austerity.”
Keynote speakers at this year’s event include Mark Hodgkinson, digital and financial services director at Asda and Gavin Sathianathan, head of commerce partnerships at Facebook. A third keynote presenter will be announced in due course.
The three conference streams of this, the sixth annual Internet Retailing conference, will focus on The Customer, The Team and The Industry. Confirmed speakers hail from online retailers including Waitrose, Air Asia.com, Overstock.com, British Airways, Majestic Wine, Urban Outfitters, Lakeland, Thomas Pink, JD Williams and Naked Wines.
The conference has capacity for 500 conference delegates, filled for five years running. It also attracts up to 750 additional visitors who have access to the display area and the schedule of eight workshops. More than 40 of the 45 available stand spaces in the exhibition hall have already been booked.

How to start adding "mini campaigns" to your year-long marketing plans.

In this age of hyper-speed marketing, it's most likely time that you start adding "mini campaigns" to your year-long marketing plans.
Think of these as quick hits that fill in the gaps between your major marketing efforts.
The challenge and opportunity for businesses -- especially those that rely on a traditional marketing calendar based on holidays, seasons and sales cycles -- is that marketing communications can catch fire or sizzle quickly on social media channels.
Of the 140 million tweets on Twitter that are posted every day, 92 percent of retweets happen in the first 60 minutes. Content also churns over on Facebook, where the site's more than 500 million users  help businesses extend the reach of their campaigns by clicking the "Like" button.
